I just read a very interesting article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, by Bob Smizik, discussing if "fighting" still has a place in the NHL. He brings up how if the NHL wants to expand it's hold on the sports market, the fighting must go. To potential fans, fighting can look to be ridiculous and not needed.
